We've heard from insect hunters in the Amazon, posties in Penticton, moms, dads and kids in the wilds of Toronto. We want to see your boot photos and where your boots have been, and the winner will be going on a trip to sunny Tasmania, Australia.
These are two generations (myself, my 18 year old son, 8 year old daughter and my boyfriend) of Blundstone Boots that travelled through BC and Alberta on our summer camping/road trip this year. We hiked trails, sloshed through marshes, chopped wood, peed in the bush and enjoyed the amazing Canadian landscape for 3 weeks. These boots shined up to be good as new and taken out on the town the minute we hit a city. Thanks Blundstone Canada.
The day was perfect-a little overcast, but no rain. And I had a treat for my feet, and something other than an ugly shed to look at: My new BLUNDSTONE SUEDE boots! I had admired them from afar; our bread man sported a beat-up pair of leather Blundstoneboots with his shorts. After some serious coveting most of that summer, I had to ask what those worn but fabulous boots were called. I wrote the name down. I went to the web site. But I’m a suede kind of girl. So here my feet are in all their glory, now that they are covered in gorgeous suede. To hell with the shed!
I’ve worn them for years for work and for play,
I even donned them on my magical day.
I wear them to work, they make my uniform,
I wear them for casual, that’s always my norm.
As a pilot in Blunnies, I fly the skies blue,
A loyal Blundstone wearer, I am through and through.
But notably, one of my most magical days,
Was a Blundstone boots moment when Dad gave me away.
So we posed for a picture, then I kissed my groom,
Let me guarantee, he’ll be wearing Blundstone boots soon!
This is a picture of our family, boots included. We have been wearing Blundstone boots for over a decade and our two girls (now ages 5 and 7) have been wearing Blunnies since they could walk. In addition to the favourite black boots, we have brown, red, purple, and CSA Greenpatch boots. We wear them for all occasions during all seasons, everywhere we go. They are truly part of our family. These boots last forever, and we are working to convert all of our extended family members by passing along the Blunnies as they are outgrown - so far so good!
I’ve been wearing Blundstone boots for years and have been in Afghanistan (Kabul and Kandahar) for almost two years and there has not been a day gone by while I’ve been here that I haven’t had my Blundstone boots on. I get asked about them all the time from people all over the world and if they can fit in to mine for an impromptu fitting, the person is immediately sold and asks me where they can get a pair. I tell them about my shop I deal with on Yonge Street in Toronto who have used me well over the years. Cheers from the Stan,
These boots are hot.
Smokin hot.
Best darn boots around, these Blundstone boots.
After 7 years - it was time to sacrifice them to the late night bonfire party gods.
Two-and-a-half years ago I put my hand through a table saw at work. My girlfriend convinced me to buy a pair of lace free Blundstone boots because I wouldn’t be able to tie up my boots for a while. Since we were downtown, (Toronto, Canada), we also stopped by city hall to obtain a marriage license. I wanted to marry this woman right away; she took care of me when I got hurt, and introducing me to Blundstone boots was part of that. (We were married 30 days later). Larissa and I just had our first child, and I’m still wearing the boots that started it all!
I bought my blundstone originals over four years ago in Vancouver British Columbia. They are my sole (pun intended) form of transportation. IE: I haven’t had a car for 23 years. I walk everywhere. I’ve worn my Blundstone boots at work as a furniture maker, through the wet winters of Vancouver, and in summer as well. I’m now living on the North East coast of Newfoundland and still these boots are with me. Closing in on five years. Instead of a trip to Australia, I would welcome a new pair. thanks…
Gregory Guy. Carmanville, Newfoundland
Not sure who this is. But do believe these are some sexy legs in a pair of sexy Blundstone boots. C’mon pick me - I’ve always wanted to go to Australia

After almost 20 years of trying work boots and finding that they failed miserably, usually in more then one aspect, I found Blundstone boots. My world has changed radically. I’m now welcoming my second pair to my life as my first pair, shown here have worked extremely hard in there life. The boots get worn every single day, not just work days, without exception. THANK YOU!!!

My wife and I have been in Blundstone boots for over 15 years. We love them. Two years ago, my bike and I met a taxicab in what screaming eyewitnesses thought was sure to be a cycling fatality. I escaped with only soft tissue damage, and my Blundstone boots 500’s (a city cycling must) were a big part of that miracle. With the front of that cab finally stopping at around my hips, I realized that I was still alive (!), and that the tip of my left foot was trapped under the cab’s front tire, still safely inside its Blundstone boot! That left boot had flipped upside down, the upper enduring a drag across 2 metres of gravel-strewn pavement, and all with a cab on it! Imagine what my toes would have looked like if it hadn’t held! My Blundstone boots weren’t really fit for the office anymore, but the insurance company wouldn’t pay for new ones unless I gave up the pair that had saved me! …I couldn’t do it. I haven’t worn these boots very much since then - bad memories - but our 17-year-old son does. He finds the 500’s just as comfortable as I did (and he thinks that the scarred left boot is truly badass). Today I pulled on the boots just to run out to the car for something. Man!, I miss them… Thanks Blundstone boots; I’m pretty sure your boots saved my left foot.

This playful photo (which has not been photoshopped)
was taken in April 2010 in Bolivia. We went on a 2 day
tour of the largest salt flats in the world, Solar de Uyuni.
My partner loves his Blundstone boots and requested we take a
few photos with his boots. I was game. The photo reminded me
that I received my first pair of Blundstone boots from my mom
years ago. She gifted them to me in the hopes that I would get
back in the saddle and horseback ride with her more….giddy up!

Trying to find the right footwear for my office has not been easy, but it is always in the more remote places in the world that you stumble upon some of earths most interesting things. It was not until I started flying northern parts of Canada that I found the perfect footwear for the office. Take it easy. Enjoy whats out there in comfort!

Hi, I’m Miles and I’m 6. This is my little brother Logan, he’s 2. I hiked all the way to the top of the Sulphur Skyline. Dad had to carry Logan nearly all the way because he doesn’t have any blunnies. They are my best boots eva, and I can run super fast in them. I love my Blundstones boots!!!

I recently bought a pair of your boots and they are amazing! I have
attached a photo of me posing next to the Olympic torch for the
Vancouver 2010 games.
My wife Nadine lives in her Blundstone boots. She works on an animal farm in North Vancouver and these are her boots. No matter how worn out they get she will never part with them. She has bought other brands but they sit in the closet still new. The funny part is when we dress up for a dinner or an outing, there she with blundstone boots on. I don’t try and convince her to change coz it is what she feels good in and thats what matters. Not sure how old these boots are but the center pair have been with us for a long time and are still worn today. With what she walks around in all day I’m impressed how they last. keep up the good work
My husband and I moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia two years ago. We often travel around our new province and enjoy the sights. Our Blundstone boots are always with us on our travels. This photo was taken in Annapolis Royal…me,
my Blundstone boots, and a new friend on the boardwalk.
About ten years ago,my husband and I were in British Columbia visiting our daughter who was at school there. For Christmas she wanted new Blundstone boots, having worn hers for her summer jobs in a printery and in art classes, so we found the store. The clerk said he’d never seen a pair of boots in such bad shape!! We ended up buying three pairs that day. I have now had my final walk in those boots. They have gone everywhere and done just about everything with me, from hiking to construction. The picture shows the bottoms after our walk in Oxon, England. We’re back in Ontario now and my new boots are in the hall, waiting for our next adventure! We love our Blundstone boots!!
Just got a new pair…..Considering I stand on my feet all day……..comfort and protection in the lab is a must. Happy to have my new Blundstone boots!

My fiancee and I bought Blundstone boots after we saw his son wearing them. They looked very stylish and comfortable! My fiancee wears them all the time, Living in Pembroke, Ontario Blundstone boots are perfect for all seasons.
Sammy my cat loves that I got Blundstone boots even more than I do right now. Just bought them today and will be taking them to South Africa when we go in January! I had to send you the picture!
I’m not a mountain climber, world traveler, or wrestler of all things wild. I didn’t buy my Blundstone boots to save the world, just my feet. My boots are #500 Originals in black, nothing fancy. While they fight for floorspace among the clutter of shoes at our front door, there is something extraordinary and unique about these boots. Now, when Monday morning comes, instead of bemoaning the start of another week, I gladly pull on my Blundstone boots, grateful for any excuse to spend a day wearing them. Maybe you should have mentioned that in the advertising – Warning: Wearing Blundstone boots to work may actually make you like Mondays. Thanks for restoring my faith in Monday!
My chunks were a father’s day gift from my lovely wife last year. They are pretty much all I wear on camping trips, funerals I directed (summer and winter), various morgues in my work area and even winter slack lining in my aunt’s backyard. I was sceptical that I would be able to stay on the slack line with these boots on but my feet were getting cold and wet from the ground so I tried them and they worked. I just bought a pair of chisel toes to wear with my work suit plus I would be able to turn better on the line coz their soles are not as knobby as my chunks.
I have been riding horses for most of my life in Blundstone boots. They are the most durable and reliable boot I have ever had. I went trekking in Nepal in 2009 and decided to put my Blundstone boots to the test. I hiked to Everest Base Camp in these boots and they didn’t let me down!
So I arrive in Paris to spend the summer 2005 at the Cordon Bleu. The uniform is great except for the really bad looking shoes they wanted me to buy. I stall and attend a couple classes “out of uniform” and I notice that one of the chefs was wearing Blundstone boots. I always wanted to buy a pair, but never bothered because I assumed that with my wide feet and high insteps, I’d never be able to pull on a laceless boot (had always been the case). I went up to the chef and asked her if the school allows Blundstone boots, to which she said “yes.” I hopped on my Vespa and went to the only store I knew in Paris that sold them, and to my surprise, they fit perfectly! Wide, high…I couldn’t believe it. So I completed my uniform with a great looking pair of boots, that I have worn EVERY OTHER DAY FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS ALL OVER THE WORLD and finally, they are STARTING to wear out. Needless to say, I’ve bought a pair of black ones now, and will replace my “Cordon Bleu Brown Blundstone boots” when I need to….maybe I’ll finally throw them in the Tasman Sea if you send me to Tasmania!
At the age of 64, I just bought my first Blundstone boots! My eldest has had Blundstone boots for years. My wife and I are moving to Vancouver and a barista at my local coffee shop (Broadview Espresso) - a Vancouver native - recommended them for the Vancouver weather. His pair still look good after 15 years. So far I am enjoying my Blundstone boots - comfortable and cool! The day I bought my Blundstone boots, I picked up a remaindered Granta Magazine of New Writing Issue #81 which has a story set in the Outback called “The Clangers”, by Susan Elderkin. On the first page, the narrator hears her husband “….snagging his Blundstone boots off on the step….”.
I just purchased my second pair of Blundstones. The first were well worn after good use and, most recently, a backpacking trip across East Africa. My Blundstones kept my feet warm and dry on long hikes, bus rides, walks on the beach, and day to day use. I was trekking in Kakamenga Rainforest in Western Kenya with two Swiss scientists and a Kenyan guide. The scientists had brand new boots which they’d spent a pretty penny on specifically for trekking; the boots were a special brand for Safari tourists. Halfway through the hike they were eyeing me resentfully as both my companions and our guide had soaked feet from the muddy trails, while my feet were warm, dry, and unblistered in my Blundstones. Good reason to get my second pair as a take off to backpack in India! Attached is a photo of my companions with cold feet at the top of our trek in the rainforest.
My husband and I made a decision to shake up our lives two years ago, and moved 1700 kilometres from Ontario to Nova Scotia. Shortly after we moved, we spotted Blundstone boots in a window at a Lunenburg shop and thought about them frequently. Once I found some red Blundstone boots in Bridgewater, I knew I just had to have a pair! We both purchased a pair of Blundstone boots shortly before Valentine’s Day this year, and haven’t taken them off since. We are retired and we don’t get away on exotic vacations. But we do spend a lot of time touring the beautiful province of Nova Scotia. This photo is entitled “Together”. It has two meanings for me…”together” with my husband (my best friend and life partner) and “together” with our Blundstone boots.
I live in Ste. Barbe, Quebec, Canada and it can get really muddy here in spring and fall and really dry in the summer and extremely cold in the winter….so my poor Blundstone Boots take a beating….hee hee!! Even though I use nikwax on them regularly…hee hee! I have a horse and ride regularly and work in an office….the first few years I wore my boots for both…hee hee! Just washed off the mud and went to work. After a while the barn smell was stronger…hee hee than the office could tolerate…so I bought some chisel toe Blundstone Boots for work…..but never have liked them as much as my originals.
Here are my all time favorite boots …that have to be replaced this year cause the sole finally gave out and I still wore them for another year cause only the first part of the sole wore out and there is a second one….but the mud filled up the soles…and became very bumpy at the end…. I stopped wearing them last November 2009…..had them for over 6 years… They went to all my horse expeditions/trail rides/competitive rides and on a 6 week trip to Colorado, U.S.A as well as every day to work for two years !! I loved them and will love my new ones when I get them. They NEVER hurt my feet from the moment I bought them to the time I stopped wearing them ….but my socks got muddy…hee hee ! Great boots for work, play and work great with half chaps for riding long distances…!! Never got my feet wet in all kinds of mud/water I had to walk through…except for near the end….as I mentioned muddy socks…hee hee!
Thanks for making them !!! I would absolutely LOVE to come to Australia with my new pair on …..hee hee!!!!
When I got my motorcycle three years ago, I shopped around for motorcycle boots, and ended up wearing my trusty Blundstone Boots. They are comfortable on long tours, waterproof on wet days, and when the ride is done, I can wear them on hikes or to dinner. I’ve recommended Blundstone Boots to many of my riding buddies and those who tried them, liked them. The picture here is the Badlands of South Dakota. Bikers paradise.
My Blundstone boots just got back from 3800 meters above sea level. And, although I couldn`t make it on this trip to the Pisaq ruins, 30 kms from Cusco, Peru, my boots - being made for traveling and all - were sent along with my best buddy. I was to go on this trip with friends but, unfortunately, had to bail last minute, so I asked that they be photographed in Peru just the same. Like this, at least a part of me could go. Do hope that the next time around I can actually be wearing them on a trip, possibly, Down Under?! That would be truly memorable.
Hi there, I’m an official Canadian war artist who went to Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in November, 2009. I’m the first poet in the 90 year tradition of Canadian war artists and I spent 18 months visiting the troops in the field watching them prepare for Afghanistan.
In November, I flew to Afghanistan to Kandahar Air Field, the base, then outside the wire to X in the middle of Taliban country. I wore my Blundstone Boots for thousands of hours while with the army and was choked to find out that Blundstone doesn’t make the lace ups any more! I recently bought slip-ons.
I love my Blundstone Boots and am going to donate them to the war museum when I donate all of my notebooks sometime in the future.
My boots have gotten me lost (and most of the time found too) all over 3 continents and sometimes even in my hometown. They’re my go-to and saviors in the snow, the rain and on the dance floor. By some happy circumstance my left and right boots don’t match- when I bought them I swear they were the same colour but after a few months of wear it became pretty clear than they weren’t! So, I hope this means that somewhere out there (possibly near the Boot Shop in St. Catharines, Ontario) I have a boot sole-mate who probably has just as many stories! Oddly though, it wasn’t until I moved to Saskatoon that people started to notice my mismatched feet- but all of them seemed pretty impressed. This picture is a few years old now, and while my Blundstone boots are a little more beat up they are no less amazing than they were on day 1, and I still love getting to check them out when I put my feet up where ever on the planet I happen to be.
Big love from the Land of the Living Skies!

This is a picture of me and my Blundstone Boots coming back from a mine site 300k NE of Whitehorse, YK at 10000 feet in the air. The best boots, no BS that I have ever worn!!!!
My hip Aunt Mary turned me on to these boots last December, so I bought myself a pair for Christmas. I’ve been walking all over China with them ever since! In this picture, my Blundstone boots are all that stands between me and the amenities of a passenger train in Inner Mongolia. Can’t wait to try them out in the summer!!
I love my Blundstone boots…I have had them for 12 years and they have been through a lot with me. They have taken me up some mountains in Banff, Alberta. They have taken me to work and just hung out with me. That is the good part of my story. I had noticed the soles were cracking, and so the next time I went in to the city, I took them with me to a shoe repair store-I was told they were not able to repair them, and I was choked-They are by far the most favorite boot I own and I didn’t want a new pair…I want my old boots back! If you could resole them for me it would be worth more than a trip!
Thanks!! - Wendy Fultz
As you well know, winter is upon us and just this morning, we endured -29 C temperatures with the glorious snow all around us.Luckily, as my husband finally conceded, he bought winter boots to combat the frigid New Brunswick temperatures. Thankfully, his Blundstone boots just came in time and has (some what graciously) posed for our chance to win a trip to Australia. What a perfect way to work in those dark, fitted boots with a trip down yonder and enjoying all that our friends to the South have to offer!
Baja or Bust Christmas Roadtrip! Armed with our trusty Blundstone boots, we explored thousands of km’s from Calgary to the tip of the Baja peninsula (and back!) in under 3 weeks. Adventure arose around every corner including magnificent diner pie, the Vegas strip, snowstorms, sandcastles, a blown transmission, whales, and marvelling at the wonders of the terrain. We wore our blundstone boots in -23 and +23, and everything in-between!
Hello,
I have worked as a registered nurse doing 12hr shift work in the downtown toronto hospitals since 1988 (which is when I moved to Canada from NYC, and purchased my FIRST pair of Blundstones soon after in the early 1990’s……) and the ONLY shoes I can wear that do not hurt are my broken in Blundstones. Every time I buy a new pair (I own 5 now, mostly chisel toes in black and brown, one green suede, and and one pair of RM Williams), the oldest pair is taken to my hospital locker and used as my nursing shoe until my toes literally break through, which happened only once. Yet I still couldn’t bring myself to throw them away (they are so comfortable and my feet never swell nor do my legs throb after my 12hr stint in the ICU!). I had them patched up on the inside, and managed to get another year and a half out of them, before the sole finally began to peel from the bottom. This was my very first pair and had been over a decade old. I don’t want to gross you out, but they had just spent too many hours getting wet and dirty in the OR…..
I am now on my second “old”pair, being used as a nursing shoe. Thank you for not making them in white:)
I bought my first pair of #500 black Blundstone boots when I was a 25 year old single girl living in Toronto in 1999. They took me through many walks along Yonge Street, a few boyfriends, and lots of adventures! This included my 30th birthday trip to the Grand Canyon with my twin sister, where I hiked down to the bottom and up again in my trusty and comfy Blundstone boots (see picture - they took a beating in the red muddy trails but easily saw me through this amazing experience). Since then, they’ve seen me on a trip to Thailand hiking through northern hillside trails, getting married and now I’m sitting here awaiting the birth of my second daughter….and I just bought my SECOND pair of Blundstone boots to see me through another amazing decade of life. After all, there’s nothing easier than pulling on some Blundstone boots when you’re trying to get out the door in slushy Toronto with two kids! Thanks Blundstone boots - here’s to more memories in the next 10 years!
Just bought my boots about a month ago haven’t worn anything else since ……except my slipper inside !!! Just got back from a walk on the High Tide Trail in Eastport, Newfoundland which has everything from large rock to fine sand and I must say that these boots are truly “all terrain”
Well i started on a Boot Hunt, it took me to 6 or 7 Stores here in Fredericton, NB. Finally a guy a work with said, “Hey have you ever tried Blundstone boots”? I said, “never herd of them. He said, ” I have them on right now, have had them for 10 Years and they still feel Great”. Well, to make a long storey short I went and purchased my first pair. Wow! I am impressed, these Boots are unbelievable. I have been telling everyone at work and really they are the Best Boot I have ever had on my feet in my 36 Years. What would it mean to mean to get to go Australia? Considering I have never been out of Canada, words would never ever describe what it would feel and mean to me. Here is a Picture of my very first Blundstones and I really think I will go and buy another Color . Thanks.
My Blundstones were my birthday present to myself when I turned 40…..eight years later they’re still going strong. They’ve seen me through Winnipeg winters, a Toronto ice storm and a European adventure….including a bootful of the Mediterranean in Barcelona! My next pair will be chisel-toes so I can always wear them to work and it would be great to be able to buy them down under!
Here are my Blundstone boots in Narita, Japan. While waiting for a bus I noticed this young girl who was having a hard time walking in her chosen footwear. I, on the other hand, was wearing my Blundstone boots, so I was easily able to catch up to her to ask for a photo of us with our contrasting feet, and still had time to run back to get the bus!
Some things are made better than other things. Obvious, I know, but then why do we still choose to buy and make things that are poor quality, won’t perform as well as others, and won’t last?
These old boots…Blundstone CSA Greenpatch. Steel toed slip-on wonder boots. They don’t look like much now and are finally in need of replacement. 6 years old. A few years of cement and mud while building foundations. Walks with Lisa and the dog on the beach pretty much every day for the past couple of years in rain and snow. Early morning surf checks. Digging in the garden. Quality. They aren’t cheap, but they are good.
I bought my Blundstone Boots last winter on the recommendation of a friend. She said they were the world’s best boots and I’ve come to believe her. They saw me through my trek to college everyday in Alberta’s harsh northern winter weather. Then I took them to B.C with me to work for spring and summer. One day my coworkers and I were contracted to clean the perimeter of a landfill. I was put down in the slimiest section because my boots held up better than anyone else’s on the gross terrain. It was a dirty job, but my Blundstone Boots could do it!
These are my brand new Blundstone Boots!! I can’t wait to scuff them up. I wore my last pair until my toe poked through and will probably do the same with these !
I’m Gloria Bernard and I’m just getting started at 80! My prized pair of Blundstone Boots (a gift from my thoughtful daughter) have proven to be as hardy as me. I garden in them, do the yard work in them, and even go to church, on occasion, in them! I do hope that one day I’ll even be able to say that I’ve worn them on a treck to Uluru (Ayers Rock), a lovely place that I’ve always hoped to visit. Thank you, Blundstone for the hardiest boots around.
Sirs: I was returning from a month of field research on the species diversity of beetles and other insects in the forests of the Lesser Antillean island of St. Vincent when I met Jim Ranscombe in the airport on Barbados. I did not know he was the manager of the Queen St. West, Toronto, Blundstone boot store. He noticed my Blundstone boots and asked about them. I was well pleased with them and talked up a good sales pitch to recommend them to him. He then told me who he was and how he was pleased at my compliments. I then introduced myself as a biology professor at Carleton University, Ottawa, and explained that I did a lot of field work in diverse places, all with my Blundstone Boots. And I received an invitation to say a few good words about the boots to a wider audience. Here they are:
I have used my pair for some 8 years in field work in North America, and the West Indies, and Africa. In caves, tropical forests, and northern tundra habitats. They have been splendid in this diverse mix of habitats. The only down side is that the heels have finally worn down and some replacements will be needed before my next field season. I attach a photo from a few years back of working in caves in Quebec.
I love my Blundstone boots, I wear them every day to school because they’re comfortable and they’re are my favorite shoes. I wore them to Jasper on the highest mountain with by brother Fox who also wears his Blundstone boots everywhere. I wear them horse back riding and they don’t wear out. I think they’re great. They’re easy to put on and they last forever and if they start to get dusty or looking old, I just polish them up and they look good as new. I even wore my Blundstone Boots on picture day at school, my dress shoes kill me so. You can wear them every season, they’re warm, cool, comfortable and last a long time.
I picked up my pair of Blundstone Boots from Oh My Sole in Halifax in 2003. Since then, I’ve worn them everywhere I go. I’ve worn them while I crossed the Charles Bridge in Prague, while drinking a few pints in the Hofbrauhaus in Munich, and while climbing the Eiffel Tower where I met a friendly Aussie couple who were also wearing Blundstone Boots.
My last overseas trip was in June, 2009. In the attached picture, I’m wearing my Blundstone Boots, while standing with my sweetheart Margaret, at the Gullfoss Waterfalls in Iceland. Note the lack of warning signage and safety barriers! It’s a good thing that my Blundstone Boots have great grippy treads; it made my walk along the wet rocks around the falls a lot more secure! You’ll also notice in this pic that Margaret was wearing her Doc Martins; she finally gave them up for a pair of Blundstone 550’s this weekend!
I’ve always been one of the guys…and my guy friends and I have always worn Blundstone boots – no matter the occasion! So when my friend Al got married (pictured here with his wife’s bouquet!), it only made sense that he’d do it in Blundstone Boots. I’m not in this picture (because they made me wear a dress and heels!) but I got a matching pair of Canadian (eh?) boots too – and I wear them with pride often.
I’ve been through a lot with these guys (some of whom I’ve known since Kindergarten!) and wearing matching boots at Al’s wonderful wedding just gave us one more thing to laugh about.
There’s nothing I’d like more than to scoop up one of my old friends and hit the roads in Australia - our feet comfortably shod, and our Canadian pride on-show for all to see, thanks to our perfect boots.
This is my dog Jill feeling really bad about chewing the tab off of my Blunnies, which makes it harder to pull them on now. I love them so much though, that I wear them anyway (and I still love Jill too!). I’ve been wearing Blunnies since I could walk and this is my third pair. Over the years, I’ve worn them with my coveralls when I do chores on the farm and with my favourite skirts and dresses. There’s nothing like Blunnies!! I’m going to wear them forever
I live in Saskatchewan. Flat, windy, cold. And that’s summer. Or as it’s called here, July. After a hard day outdoors, my Blundstone Boots deserve to warm up by the fire. I hate the cold and love these boots.
These are Ela’s second pair of Blunnies - her first were pink suede. She loves her Rigger boots because they are “stylish” and go with skirts, jeans and leggings - even Lamé and she can wear them to do practically anything - including rock climbing!
My first pair arrived in Iqaluit NWT (now Nunavut) by mail as a congratulations (to myself) for being accepted in Ontario’s relatively new midwifery education program in 1995.
I am now on my 4th pair and these boots have covered a lot of ground. They have been to hundreds of births as well as travelled far and wide. I have worn them thru dry arctic winters at -40 degree as well as wet Ontario ones. They served me incredibly well trekking the 21 day hike around the circular Annapurna mountain range, which included, of course, the highest walkable mountain pass in the world - Throng La.
Last year my husband and I took our kids back to Nepal for their first trip to see their Nepali grandparents.. . It took seven hours to get to the family village with 2 kids under 7 and my blundstone Boots did it again.
Now I want to go to their home country and bring back little ones for the kids……. Blundstone dreamin
” I never get on a bike without my Chunks. Got to race super bikes at the Las Vegas Speedway in January ‘09. The boys I raced with gave me a hard time for wearing Blundstone Boots and not race boots, but they are all you really need”

On my bucket list has always been that I make it to the Aran Islands in the west of Ireland in Galway Bay. Well, this past summer of ‘09, my best friend and I finally made it there. There are two ways to get to the Islands: one is to take a ferry; the other is to charter a small plane. We chose the latter. On the way out to the plane, the pilot called out my name and announced that I’d be sitting next to him up front! Very cool! So … this is a pic of the ol’ dogs in the absolute best and hardiest boots in the world. These Blunnies have been with me through many a trip across the universe and I know that they’ll be with me on many more. They’re my absolute favourite footwear and I never refrain from pitching their merits to all my buddies.
If it wasn’t for my beloved blunnies, I don’t know how I would have made it across Tibet. They were especially handy at Mt. Everest Base Camp where they kept my toes toasty warm and were perfect for the rocky terrain. Next stop for my boots….The Aussie Outback! Ularu, here I come!
I am the only one in our family who does not have their own pair of Blundstone Boots so on the rare occasion that a pair is not being worn I grab them. Blundstone Boots in our family are worn when riding horses, dirt bikes, four wheelers, bicycles, on the construction site and for hiking. We would never be without our Blundstone Boots!
I mean really late. Like 400 years late! I bought my first pair of Blundstone Boots in 2008 to attend the wedding of Thorstein Olafsson and Sigrid Bjørnsdatter in Hvalsey, Greenland. Missed the wedding, and lost track of Thorstein and Sigrid. In fact we lost track of everyone living in Greenland. That wedding was the last we heard of the old Viking colony in Greenland. Too bad. I would have impressed them – a rube from Vinland showing up in a class pair of boots like these. And I even took a picture so I could show them. Maybe they could add it to the wedding album. Who knew you guys would be looking for pictures of your boots in action? Here’s my right foot looking out over the ruins of the church and Hvalsey Fjord on a cool August afternoon.
We heard the couple moved back to her in-laws in Iceland. So this year my Blundstone Boots took me over a lava flow to visit a Viking house at Husholmi, near Reykjavik, where we feasted on an Icelandic treat: rotted shark. It`s a little like eating a chewy version of Tidy Bowl. Thankfully we had a good dose of Brennevin to wash it down. But I hear the in-laws were actually up in northern Iceland, so I’m still trying to connect. Anyone in Tasmania hooked up with Thor and Siggy on their Facebook?
Every Blundstone Boot’s owner has a story. A long time ago I found a country where the people wore shorts! spoke funny! and did not wear socks. I seemed to fit in not sure why they called it Stralia but it was not spelt that way. They taught me about Blundstone Boots GOOD thing cause the next thing they taught me was Walkabout. That I learnt well. Thirty years and six countries later the only thing that has changed is I now have three pairs of Blundies. A fancy dancy pair for work, A really important pair used for anything that involves Power tools or trips to the hardware store, and a pair on it’s way to becoming the important pair. What better way is there to start the journey hiking in BC back country
I bought these #500 boots from a shop on W. 4th ave in Kitsilano, in January 2001 the day before my first trip overseas, and they have been with me on every trip since! They have taken me to some very interesting places… Like opening for the Rolling Stones, or that crosswalk in front of Abbey Road Studios, or to see what’s left of the Berlin Wall, Amsterdam, Sweden and Norway to every province in Canada, ( a few times ) and coast to coast in the lower 48. And of course Australia! They’re the only boots I brought with me when I moved to Toronto 2 years ago. Always comfy, lightweight, and looking good.
I’ve had my Blunstones for about 5 years now and they go everywhere with me including work! They’ve walked through the harshest of conditions in Canada including the frozen arctic. For the past few years I’ve been an air ambulance pilot in Manitoba and the Nunavut. In this line of work they are the perfect multi purpose boot, from inside the cockpit to outside on the burning hot asphalt, or even an ice covered maneuvering area. People always ask questions about these boots, just wondering how they hold up to the extremes and I keep telling them, they’re all you need! Just throw on a couple pairs of socks!! Here’s a picture of me in Arviat, NU at -40C during a medevac, (formally known as Eskimo Point).
This spring, work began on my sister and brother in law’s new house. The house is being constructed with natural building techniques, including straw and clay walls. I was eager to help out, but I was informed that I needed to wear safety boots on the construction site. Glad to have an excuse to buy a pair of Blundstone boots, I purchased a pair at my neighbourhood shoe store. The boots were the best. They kept my feet dry and blister free the entire week.
My mom is writing this for me as I have just just started to print but she is faster. Here is a picture of me with my boots. There is one hole in the toe and they are getting a bit too tight, but I still like wearing them everyday. My older brother Paris, wore my boots when I was a baby to get them ready for me and he did a good job. I like my boots very much.
One morning realizing my boots had disappeared, I went looking for them. Thinking the worst, that our dog Penny had taken them and eaten them, I found them in this state. Apparently, Penny couldn’t tell the difference between my Blunnys and her own puppies, and put them all together. A testament to the comfort of my boots. As comfortable as wearing a puppy on your foot.
Here are my Blundstone Boots a few miles north of the Pitons in St. Lucia Most excellent boots for travelling they are. Easy on and off - for those fun security lines at the airport and oh so simple for slipping them off when your in your oh so spacious plane seat. Pebble in your boots - no worries just slip them off and voila. Sand in your boots - dido. Hiking up the pitons was a breeze in them.
It’s my birthday on June 30th ( today ) and these boots are my gift to myself. They haven’t gone too far yet. After reading about everyone else’s adventures, I have a feeling my Blundstones are about to follow in many of your footsteps – at least some of them. I am going to put these boots on and tap my heals backwards, because I intend to head out in the opposite direction of home wearing my new Chocolate Suede Blundstones.
I love my Blundstones because they’ve walked me down the cobble stones of Old Quebec, hopped across trains with me in Europe, hiked across the rolling hills of Scotland, trotted across a muddy race track in Liverpool.
Okay, I lied. Really, it would have been more impressive if they had done all that. But they are still waiting for their turn abroad.
They’ve been to Shawville, Quebec; trekked through the woods of Otterlake and walked all over Ottawa. They’ve gone with me up to Sudbury, onto my family’s island, and gotten lost with me on a neighboring shore; and at night have slept soundly at the foot of my cot in our log cabin.
Through all of that they have kept me warm and dry in my home country; and I would love the chance to visit their home in Tasmania.

Unlike most people’s Blundstones mine haven’t travelled the world, but they have allowed me to travel farther than I thought I could. I have a chronic pain condition and a severe back problem that made it unbearable to be on my feet for even 15 minutes at a time. My husband suggested that I try Blundstones as he knew they had a great reputation for comfort and durability. I had purchased many pairs of footwear before considering Blundstones and I was taking a big chance buying another expensive pair of boots that may not have helped my pain. I am so glad I took that chance because to my surprise, my Blundstones are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I have put more miles on my Blundstones than I thought I’d be able to put on any footwear and they have given me more life, more nature, more time with friends and family, more opportunity…generally just more mobility. The picture I have posted shows you my boots and I at the Relay For Life which is one of the many events I missed being a part of before I got my Blundstones. I am a cancer survivor and the Relay For Life is something very important to me, but in the past my chronic pain has prevented me from participating. Although I wasn’t able to complete as many laps as I’d like, my boots made it possible to get farther than I thought. I love my Blundstones and I’m looking forward to racking up many more years and miles of comfortable travel that would be painful and joyless without them.
“The Boot” at the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland, what better place to show off our Blunnies…
We trekked, we horse caravaned, we hiked, we hit the big cities and the small villages, did casual and formal through rain or sunshine….all on one pair of boots…
Sleeping in airports is never comfortable. But waiting at an airport about to board a plane that will take you to the country you’ve dreamt of visiting since you were twelve years of age is only made possible if you’re sleeping in your Eh! Boots.
My Chunks were at home in India riding Moni Mala an elephant on safari in Corbett National Park, Northern India. Didn’t see any tigers, but I am sure they saw us!
These Blundstones are taking a break from being on my feet everyday to catch some rays on the beach. They watch closely as I spend some time in the surf. Luckily no one walked off with them that day. That’s about as simple as it gets with Blundstones.
There always ready to go, and happy to see. me Sitting by the door ever so fatihful, never critical as long as you take them on those walks they love so much and can’t do without.
I’ve done a lot of things with them like everybody else. Did that traveling thing (still doing it), did the spring , summer, fall, winter thingy. Did the indoor, outdoor, tourist, classy, trashy, in the boonies, up the hills, in the water, dress up, dress down and all those other great things that people do with blunnies. Got them dirty, mangy, muddy, mucky, wet, dry ,cleaned up and they we’re still happy to see me. Men, woman, kids whoever these boots like every body and they treat them all same. They don’t care where your from, what your political or religious views are, the colour of your skin, whether your short, tall, skinny or round or may be your carrying a few extra pounds(these boots will help you loose them becuase you’ll want to walk everywhere) they still treat everybody the same, with respect and they will follow you anywhere. I guess we should give them to a lot of politcians then eh!!
Global warming, I”ve got the answer, give them all Blundstones and they will all get the urge to go WALKABOUT!!
Anyway, enough bloody rambling, gotta grab my Blunnies go for a walk……CHEERS!!!!!!
Just got’em today. My first day with my new boots on - gazing at the screen wishing I was somewhere hot, humid, happy, & healthy - elsewhere, anywhere, but where I am right this moment.
My Blunnies have been all over the U.S, Canada, Cuba, Ireland, England, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. Business meetings one day, exploring the ruins of Moorepark Ireland the next. I love em!
It’s my birthday and here I am feeling on top of the world with my Blundstones in the Valley of Fire desert. Actually, my ass is killing me from sitting on the hard sandstone which has eroded over the decades from harsh desert climate. (my husband is a perfectionist when it comes to composition – thanks hon). But my feet feel great because when comfort and durability is required… I can always count on my Blundstone eh! Boots.
10,000 Miles is a reasonable estimate of how far I have walked while at work wearing my Blundstone 361s. I have been employed in management in various factories over the past 10 years. My responsibilities in quality, safety, efficiency and being an honest, non judgemental kind of guy have had me spending a great deal of time working with the workers. I have been “toe to toe’ to many fine people, “walked a thin line” at times and kept my footing on a “slippery slope” or two. I have “walked the walk” with pride and at times felt like I was “walking on broken glass”. Many of us walked “hand in hand” as we explored new ideas. I tried to never “walk in circles” and to always “walk like a man”. After some mistakes I felt like the “walking wounded” but never like a “walking catastrophe”. All this while wearing comfortable, long wearing, slip on, trouble free Blundstones.
My latest boot purchase was a pair of premium leather lined, walnut 550s. I now have Blundstones to wear during my off hours to “walk on the wild side” a bit.
This boot cluster has been kicking around for a while. Purchased over the years in London UK and in Toronto, they can be found champing at the bit to help walk, cycle, overcome fear of heights, and if necessary, put out to pasture. They are a part of the fabric of my daily vernacular and it is difficult to be reined in while wearing them.
I’m a sailor, traveller and outdoor enthusiast. I’m the type that desires as little as possible. I love living out of a pack and knowing it’s all I need. When you live out of a pack every possession you carry has to count. These boots do it all and I’ve grown to love and depend on them wherever I go. They take me to work on the ship, to the back forty on horseback, to my favourite campsites, canoeing on calm waters, or exploring new hiking trails anywhere else on this beautiful planet. They even shine up nicely for a wedding. Here, in the Western Desert of Egypt, they kept my feet cool and dry in the blistering heat of day, and warm in the chill of night. My feet thank you and I thank you. Keep up the tradition!
Hi, my name is “Boots” and I belong to Don JJ Carroll. Don and I are great friends, we travel a lot and therefore I get the opportunity to visit extremely interesting places.
Don and I have walked the Great Wall of China, we visited the 2008 Olympic Site in Beijing and even “walked” the floor of the Olympic “Bird’s Nest’ Stadium.
We hooked up about 5-6 years ago when Don heard quite a few interesting stories about Blundstones, we became friends immediately; Don even took me to the World’s Fair in Nagano, Japan!
Some of the interesting things I get to do is ride with Don on his 650cc Scooter, yep, a 650cc scooter, what a thrill! Don loves to sojourn to places like the New England States on his scooter and of course our local region of Atlantic Canada. When Don takes me on these rides, I really get a kick out of the wind blowing around my ankles.
I’m really looking forward to this year summer, Don is retiring and that means he and I will be spending more time together; we even might go to the largest motorcycle event in the USA, the Americade? That would certainly be exciting because you never know, I may meet some of my Australian relatives there.
Don and I have become really good friends, we are together most of the time, whether it’s me assisting him with shoveling the metres of snow we get here in New Brunswick or just taking a nice stroll through the woods.
Don takes good care of me, he has special creams that he applies to me periodically that makes my skin soft and improves my looks tremendously. As stated before, Don and I get along just fine, he treats me well and in return I do the same, we’re “sole mates” forever.

Here I am literally landing somewhere in the Valley of Fire in Las Vegas, wearing my Blundstone Eh! boots.
It’s our first wedding anniversary and my wife and I came across this beautiful stretch of road somewhere in the Valley. With no one in sight for as far as the eye could see, I decided to get a little silly. And she caught me with this picture. (Thanks hon.)
You can see how liberated I feel in my Blundstone Eh! boots… no laces to mess with.. at the airport or at our destination.. I just slipped them on and we were off. Tough and comfortable enough to explore all the different types of terrain the Valley had to offer. Bonus! The weatherproof elastic with the Canadian maple leaf on the side was nicely snug against my ankles so I didn’t have to worry about irritating pebbles getting into my boot and distracting us from our exploration.
What can I say.. but one thing’s for certain, wherever our travels may take us, my wife and I will definitely be wearing our Blundstone Eh! boots. The perfect companion… traveling or not.
They left home and were seen by the neighbours running down the street to catch the number thirty-two at six this morning. Then they jumped off the bus at the intersection of Burrard and Robson and travelled a few quick blocks towards the office. The bell rang as they entered the elevator and they exited at the eighteenth floor. Then they spent most of the morning sitting under a desk with an occasional trip to the loo.
At noon they found themselves on the sidewalk walking toward Fujiya the local sushi spot. Thirty minutes later, once back in the office, they were tucked under the desk again and didn’t see the light of day until after five at which time they were seen running for the bus. They got off the bus on fourth ave. in Kitsilano and walked in and out of a few stores before finding their way back home at dinner time, to be removed and left in the front hallway until the morning.
To make sure they never tire of this routine, I take them treking on the weekends.
Bought my first pair of 491 Chunk’s in Collingwood 5 years ago. I’ve worn them pretty much every day through winters and summers They’ve travelled with me across Canada and around the US. Since then, I picked up a brown pair so that I can switch it up a little. I used to wear my boots with white gym socks and shorts. Pretty much everyone commented on how bad it looked (mostly Loo) so I now I only wear black or brown socks with my Blundstones (depending on which pair I have on). My boots, my ‘64 vdub and my slalom ski are my cherished possessions.
I owe the quality of my life to my master’s Blundstones and I would have to say that these boots are certainly a dog’s best friend. As a puppy, I can remember following the boots (a little nervously) down our street to Pacific Spirit Park and to this day ten years later the same pair of boots means nothing but adventure to me and I will follow them fearlessly wherever they lead me.
They have led me far and wide over and up some of the most exciting terrain on this planet. From The West Coast Trail to The Stawamus Chief, in every season and in every possible weather condition, my master says she can count on her Blundstone Boots as she can count on me. We are reliable and ready to make her next adventure even better than the last – and I have to say we look pretty darn good too.
Here we are together after a full and long day out on the trail. Even though I am tired, I keep one eye on my ticket to adventure.
When I wanted a lift somewhere, my father would say, “You’ve got two legs and they both reach the ground. You can walk”.
Upon purchasing ten years ago, my lime green and irreplaceable, Blundstones, I did just that! Those boots have walked me across the Camino de Santiago, through Timbuktu and Mopti, Mali, along the streets of Toronto, New York and London and across the black beach beyond Vik, Iceland.
They’ve helped me peddle my bicycle up and down hills at home and in Cuba.Unfortunately, I wore them out. As you can see, however, I cannot be rid of them. They sit on my recycling bin, as a constant reminder of what happens when you place one foot in front of another.
550’s Down Under. Casey took her 550’s on a one month adventure to Australia. Here Casey’s legs and her boots are pictured beside Wilson’s Creek near Mullumbimby, Australia. Casey forded streams, hiked mountains, walked beaches, pounded city pavement, day after day in her Blundstone 550’s. This photo was taken just moments before a leech attached itself to her right boot.
I love my Blundstones. They take me everywhere, and two years ago they took me to New York City. I had never been there before, but a good friend said the way to see Manhattan is on foot. So, of course, there is no better carrier than my Blunnies.
I calculated that my Blunnies carried me 12.5 miles the first day I was there. I saw everything I could, from Central park to Bryant Park to Greenwich Village to SoHo to The Brooklyn Bridge - where I took this photo.
I love my Blundstones. They take me where I want to go.
This is me in my Blundies. It’s past the middle of May here in Prince George, and we set a new snowfall record today. I’m standing on the dividing line between winter and spring, wondering when winter will stop playing trickster and let spring grace us with her presence. I’m also demonstrating the versatility of my Blundstones. I’ve tried other footwear but my Blundies have by far been the most comfortable, durable, and reliable. If they can carry me through the crazy seasons of Northern British Columbia, they’re up for anything.
P.S. Please send more tips on getting the last of winter off my boots!
FANTASTIC CLASSIC HIKING BOOTS!!! In fact, I might even be interested to swap the Tassie trip for a pair of boots if you somehow could find me another pair of the classic lace ups that we’re wearing in the attached photo. You might even recognize the landscape - this was taken at the beginning of our day 1 hike (north to south) at Cradle Mountain. Here’s the cool thing - this was April 1991 during a year studying abroad.
My buddy Joey (on the right) and I had the greatest time on that hike - it was really the first time either of us had done any cross country trekking and (excuse the commercial) the boots were life savers. Between getting lost on the snow covered mountain tops to slugging through the leech filled mud puddles to lugging our packs through the rainforests to taking some great breaks to take in the scenery and enjoy the best ramen noodles I’ve ever had …. the boots were with us for every KM and have held up beautifully ever since.
If you can believe it, I still have those same boots 17 years later and they have been with me through the Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree and a wilderness survival course in Bancroft, ON. I’m just bummed now because the leather is starting to split from all the years and I can’t find these old solid leather lace-ups anymore. Nevertheless, great boots and great memories!!!
McCallum Island, Lake Huron, May 2009…I greeted the Victoria Day long weekend (40km/hr winds) with a Chunk2 Mantis Pose…”take that, you May long weekend winds!”
These are my daughter Mackenzie’s wee blunnies… and there are no better boots in a stirrup… she has been riding horses for 2 years, since age 8…. always in Blundstones, which actually clean up amazingly well….she also has a red pair… for stepping out…. Horse hoof provided by Gus Gus… a gem of an equine.
My boots have taken me up Mount Apsan, across the boardwalk in Busan South Korea, up the lookout tower in Lawrence Kansas, down the Sunset Strip and onto the Santa Monica Pier. They’ve been misted in Niagara Falls and filled with sand at Haeundae Beach. My boots have taken me on every adventure I’ve been on in the past three years and keep me going almost every day of the year, I will always have a pair of Blundstones.
Attached is a photo of myself (and my boots) at the World Dinosaur Expo in Goseong, South Korea, April 2009.
How Funny, I just saw this contest sitting here at the airport in Vancouver on route to Sydney. Hopefully that doesn’t eliminate me from going to Tassie!!!! Because I would cancel this surf trip to Noosa, to go to Tassie in a heartbeat!!!! Well…here goes…..I bought these little babies in Cooma over 10 years ago (that’s for sure) in that little hardward store on the corner there. Anyway, aside from the fact they’ve been too many places for me to remember it was on this one particular occasion a buddy of mine from Prague (I’m Canadian from Whistler…well Pemberton actually - hopefully this won’t affect my chances either)….and I left our little house in Granada Spain and left for Morrocco. We wound up on camels and rode into the night and I remember being in amongst the dunes playing harmonica and the acoustics were unreal. In the morning we woke up to the most fantastic colours and I started running down these dunes making these big turns (skier) and magically he captured this shot of me. When I got back to Canada, Toronto artist (singer song-writer) Craig Smith said “THAT’S IT”!!! Of course I replied, “What’s it”? He said that’s the cover of my new album brother! And it he actually did it! Well, in case my photo and story is not your favourite, I may as well use this opportunity to give Craig Smith a plug (www.craig-smith.com). His album titled Not Sure, Not Sure was compared to both the acoustic and electric sides of Neil Young on CBC radio, not to mention Jeff Tweedy. Oh man……I have to seriously run….just heard my name called to the flight……sorry for the rush, hope this makes sense…..no time to proof read!!! Safe flight!!! Christian
I bought my first pair of Blunnies just before setting out on a three month trip across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. They are the perfect travel footwear - comfy, tough as hell, easy to yank on and go. This pair has walked through Egyptian tombs, hunted mushrooms in hills of Spain, and trekked through the jungles of Chiapas. Here’s a picture of my boys sitting outside a Bedouin tent in Wadi Rum, Jordan.
Hey there, we’re Canadian eh, and we’re proud of it as we wore our limited edition ‘Canadian Eh’ Blundstones from start to finish on our 1st wedding anniversary to Las Vegas. Going through airport security was a breeze eh, with no laces. Our boots have trekked the Hoover Dam, Flintstones, Bedrock, the Grand Canyon, and Red Rock desert, (where this picture was taken, eh!). This is just the beginning to a whole lot more Blundstones boots for us.
And… we’ve made a vow to never take a trip without our Blunstones, eh!
I received my first pair of Blundstones as a Christmas gift from my husband many years ago - that pair is now worn when I am at work in our microbrewery (I am a Brewster). They are perfectly formed to my feet, and scuffed in all the right places. I’ve worn chisel toe stout brown (several pairs) Blundstones all around the world - from Namibia to Greenland - with suits and with shorts! One of my favourite places on planet earth is hidden in the Scottish Hebrides - where this photo with my Blundstones was taken.
My first day with my new Blundstones! I walked all day! I walked the beach, the road..some wooded trails ..wow ..never have I had boots that was that kind of comfort from the get-go!! What a difference a good pair of Shoes make! Love them! What a wonderful day! cindy
I’ve spent 12 hrs.- 6 days a week for the past 8 months welding/ fabricating and grinding in these boots. They saw every mile of the Alberta Clipper pipeline from Edmonton Ab. to Burstall Sk. By far they are the most comfortable and longlasting workboot I’ve ever owned.I’ve been a loyal customer since 01 and just ordered my next pair today. Don’t think for a minute these boots will end up in the dump. Only the leather is worn from the steel toe it’s perfect everywhere else. He will continue to wear these in his shop as he has the next few months off.
I bought these little darlings 6 years ago and unlike my other worldly possessions, these boots have travelled with me every step of the way. I have lived in these Blundstones on both coasts of Canada, from the rocky shores of eastern Newfoundland (where this picture was taken this year) to the mountains and sidewalks of British Columbia. As my life goal is to visit every continent of the world and these boots have been with me so far, it would be very exciting if they could be worn (and be the reason for!) my first steps in Australia!
I’ve been a fan of your boots for years, purchasing several pairs from the Australian Boot Company in Toronto Canada. Recently I took on the H&S position for the power utility in Nunavut Territory in Canada’s Arctic. The boots garnered instant attention when I interviewed (yeah I wore them the interview !) and I wound up bringing several pairs for some of the area supervisors and managers, when I went back down south to pack up. Even since then I’ve given out catalogues that came with the boots. I’m the unofficial Blunstone rep of the Arctic.
Here are my and my colleague’s Blundstones in the most northerly community in Canada -Grise Fiord, Nunavut. I’d confidently wager that’s the farthest North any of your boots have ever been, anywhere in the world.
Not to mention from Beaver Creek, Yukon to the diamond mines in the Arctic, across Nunavut, Vancouver to Halifax to Ireland. Good boots are a travellers best friend.
I bought my first Blundstone boot in the biggest snow in 10 years at Vancouver .
The slippery surface in the ground drove me crazy until I had my #510 black.
First I was attracted by its simple and streamline outlook, later on I was
possessed by its comfort and mobility on the snow.
My 510 helped me shovel snow before garage and made trip to Richmond where I met the dog Paper again. Paper is my friend’s dog, but did not see him for more than 6 months. I was so happy to see him again with my #510 ! I like Vancouver so much except the deep-snow track.
Now I keep telling my friends ” #510 gave me new life in Canada” !
What can I say about these boots? I wear them all the time winter, spring, summer and fall. I bought them to wear when riding my horse “Brig”. But since they are so comfortable I kept them on even after I got off my horse and now wear them in the house, in the barn and outside in the rain, in the slush and in the mud. Then I clean them up and off to town I go to shop or to have lunch with friends. They have become a part of me.
What a great contest. The photo attached is of myself and my boyfriend on Christmas Day in Vancouver, BC. Tom (on the left) was born in Hobart and ever since I’ve known him (almost four years now!) has always loved his blunnies. He wears them absolutely everywhere from the pub to work as a carpenter. This year the time came for me to get a pair and what better time than snowy Canadian Christmas! My boots were a gift from Tom’s Mum and this photo was sent to her in sincere thanks and love for my new boots. I can’t take them off - so warm, dry and comfortable! It would be a wonderful gift to be able to visit her in Tassie and giver her a big hug in person saying thanks for my blunnies - I love em!
We are family, my Blundstones, my Kakadu and me! Together, we’ve been everywhere, Man, and almost under every condition possible. We’ve been to China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. We’ve been to Germany, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland too. We’ve been to Brazil, Mexico, and Miami. We’ve walked the beaches of Vancouver Island, hiked all over Vancouver, we’ve covered Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax too. We’ve been fishin’ the Queen Charlottes, Barclay Sound, and the northern tip of Vancouver Island. We’ve trekked to Squamish, to Whistler, and through the Okanagan’s wine country. We’ve been through sleet, snow, rain, fair weather, salt water, and mud. We’re a team, my Blundstones, my Kakadu and me. We’re great together, my buddies and me!
My wife and I bought our “Blunnies” about 4 years ago and they’re just the best! They’re waterproofed and we can slog through puddles, slush and other such mush. We’d just love to take them on a trip to Australia. In fact, I have a colleague in Tasmania who I’d love to visit.
God I love me boots ever since I got them. I won them in a contest, and wouldn’t it be ironic if those same winning boots won me a trip. I could wear them all over Tasmania and tell me story!
“Here we have my nephew Wilem, who will interrupt any conversation to talk to you about daycare or assure you that his new toy trucks are a serious matter. I mentioned to him that a real construction site was much better for his toys than a rug on my floor, and that my steel toe Blundstones would be a manly touch. Especially when his mother has no laces to tie up.”
“We spent our last day of the LA trip in Joshua Tree National Park, which lies on the border of the Mojave and Colorado Deserts. This area was a favorite destination for psychedelic musicians of the 1960’s, including Keith Richards and Gram Parsons. Parsons, in particular, was especially fond of the park as an arena for his LSD fueled UFO obsession.
We didn’t see any aliens, but I did get the opportunity to watch Kaleigh scale these rocks at light speed in her Blunny 500’s. Opting for the safer route, I stayed closer to the ground and worked on my T-shirt tan.”
