I wore my Blundstone Boots for thousands of hours while with the army

Hi there, I'm an official Canadian war artist who went to Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in November, 2009. I'm the first poet in the 90 year tradition of Canadian war artists and I spent 18 months visiting the troops in the field watching them prepare for Afghanistan. In November, I flew to Afghanistan to Kandahar Air Field, the base, then outside the wire to X in the middle of Taliban country. I wore my Blundstone Boots for thousands of hours while with the army and was choked to find out that Blundstone doesn't make the lace ups any more!  I recently bought slip-ons. I love my Blundstone Boots and am going to donate them to the war museum when I donate all of my notebooks sometime in the future.
