After making the decision to walk the Pilgrimage to Santiago, I then had to find a pair of boots to wear! I am on my feet a lot and do a lot of hiking, and walking I had just bought a pair of Blundstone chunk sole's...looking around and not finding a good pair of boots for my journey I thought, hey I wear my Blundstone boots everyday (and have almost everyday for the past 20 years or so) why not wear them to walk the Pilgrimage? I was glad I did! Others were curious as to why I had chosed not to get proper hiking boots?! But I was one of the few people I met who did not get blisters and always had dry and comfortable feet no mater the weather or walking conditions. I completed the Pilgrimage in Oct. 2008, after walking close to 800km. I still hike and walk and am still wearing the same pair of chunk sole Blundstone boots! Thanks for making a great pair of boots to walk an amazing journey! Lorelei Buen Camino!
