These boots serve as a happy reminder of a particularly interesting period in my life.

These boots (Blundstone #490) have been to and from Botswana twice. Endured the vagaries of global travel and salty, slushy, Canadian winters. They've ridden their share of ashphalt, and they've endured the general abuses of an owner who has done little more than polish or occasionally saddle soaped them. The boots took their biggest hit in Botswana in 2010 when a thornbush ripped a 1 inch gash in the leather at the sole. Two repairs kept the inevitable at bay, but it was inevitable. Now retired, they serve as a happy reminder of a particularly interesting period in my life. A Pearce Toronto, ON CANADA
