A Blundstone boot for jobs where a full safety boot is not required, but comfort is a must. The Blundstone 491 non-safety black leather work boot provides light, dry, all-day comfort and over-the-ankle support. Blundstone soles soften every step to reduce lower body fatigue and impact on bones and joints. An ideal work boot for any job requiring closed-toed non-steel toe shoes.

  • Premium leather work boot (does not have a protective steel toe cap)
  • XRD® Technology in the heel strike zone of the midsole for supreme impact absorption
  • The polyurethane footbed is comfortable, anti-bacterial, breathable and washable
  • A thermo-polyurethane outsole that is oil, acid and organic fat resistant
  • This outsole is also heat resistant to 140°C

      It is not abnormal for there to be some initial movement in the boot, particularly in the heel area. Length is the most important consideration when trying them on.

      All Blundstone boots have reinforced toes which help keep the shape of the boot intact. The boots will never stretch in length; however, they will stretch and mold to the top of the feet, and will easily stretch in width if required. If the fit is initially tight on top of your feet -- be patient, it will stretch, or can be easily stretched by a cobbler. 

      Dress (formerly Chisel toe) are a bit of a longer fit than other Blundstone styles. In our experience, some people go down a ½ to 1 full size in this style to accommodate for the longer fit.
