Blundstone's new Terrain Series features an updated sole for advanced traction and lightweight wearability.
HOBART, AUSTRALIA – AUGUST 2026 – Blundstone has released the latest update to their iconic Chelsea boot with the function-first Terrain Series, designed for outstanding all-season grip and lightweight versatility. The new Terrain puts performance at the forefront with an AVALON® GECKO TPU sole – a material lighter than rubber but with superior abrasion resistance, and comparable slip resistance in both wet and dry conditions.
The new sole delivers a higher grip than the standard TPU sole, as well as being softer underfoot for improved shock absorption, flexibility, and stability on uneven ground. The tyre-like tread and reinforced toe bumpers help improve traction across changing conditions, from rain-slicked city streets to dry, uneven trails. Other features include a Comfort Arch footbed with XRD® Technology to provide superior support, leather and synthetic lining for extra comfort and heavy-duty cable stitching for increased longevity.
The Terrain Series is part of Blundstone's Autumn/Winter 2026/2027 collection and launches in six earthy colourways across a range of premium leather finishes, including waxed oiled nubuck. The wide tread design creates a chunkier sole profile, combining a more rugged look with the comfort and practicality expected from Blundstone.
The launch of the Terrain Series follows a strong Spring/Summer season for Blundstone, marked by the launch of the brand's first dedicated warm-weather collection, including a sandal, clog and lightweight Chelsea boot. Together, these releases signal the next evolution for Blundstone, taking the much-loved DNA of its products and innovating to apply it to new materials, silhouettes and seasonal categories.
